Paul – Thanks for the fast reply. I had measured from dash to front axle, added some for the bend to front wheel and came up with 7 feet. Looks like 6 ft 9 in will do it. I’ll order one this AM.

You need a early VW bus speedometer cable. They are approx 6 feet 9 inches

I probably doing this all wrong and in the wrong forum but I need help now. Where do I buy a speedometer cable long enough for my Duchess on a 1972 VW pan. Speedo drive in left front wheel. It’s about 7 feet.

I’m open to any input because if I dont use them on this I’ll need some for my bricklin gt or my buggy for the buggy only going to do speedometer with fuel gage and oil pressure and maybe volt meter and a tachometer but this tdr is my baby of them all so it’s getting the most love

I just flat towed my TDr 3-1/2 hours each way last weekend. Make sure it’s in neutral, parking brake is off and the column is unlocked.

My tdr has been towed thousands of miles in neutral with a tow bar do not tie your steering you need that pivot point

When using a tow dolly, the front wheels can go on the dolly

I have towed my London Roadster and my 1967 VW Beetle flat with a tow bar. Put the gear shift in neutral and DO NOT tie the steering wheel. You CANNOT back up with a car on a dolly or a tow bar.
