    The bare light bulb on the top of the column and the use of a lug nut for a turn signal stalk knob are definitely unusual touches. I do like the removable rear window.

    Gotta love this comment in the Sacremento ad, “… I have had several MGTD owners remark about thinking it to be a true MGTD.” LOL! Must be a lot of blind TD owners in Sacremento.

    The bare bulb on teh Columbus car msut be his shift light! 😀

    I don’t care for the top on either one, but do wish I could replace my dash knobs with some flat toggle switches like those in the Ohio TDr.

    The one in Sacramento has been for sale for about 5 months he keeps posting on different Craigslist.

    I originally tried to purchase the one in sacramento (although it was listed in a different city) and he wasn’t very interested in meeting up and I am a bit suspicious it’s a scam.

    That lug nut is interesting! Not necessarily bad just a bit odd 😉

    If the Columbus boy can’t attract women with the TDr it’s him–not the car. They always, always at least look.

    I agree Ed, he’s has to have lots of other issues, a bike isn’t going to help and probably not the goat-tee or a tattoo.

    @edsnova

    That looks to be a very nice BCW. Number 293–latest number I’ve seen on one (mine is 110). I’ve only two quibbles with it: the cut-and-weld job on the beam (factory correct but wrong, wrong wrong, as has been discussed here ad nauseum) and the carb ducting through the fan shroud. That looks like a bad idea on several levels.

    The pipe will block a good deal of the air that is supposed to cool cylinders 3 and 4. Or it looks as though it would.

    That utter lack of space of carbs, engine, intake, etc is one of the only real drawbacks of the BCW design.
    Still, easy fix I suppose. I hope it sells for what he wants too.

    Nice dash, especially the central section. Is that a real crank starter handle fitted to the underside of the bonnet? And what are those toggles — or whatever they are — mounted just in from of the fuel tank?

    Those posts look like a remote access for the battery which looks like it is under the cover.

    The battery is in a well in front of the tank, and lower. The “crank handle” is probably a jack crank. That one looks more like a TD crank handle than mine does–the length is close–but it should be stored on clips on the seat back.

    The “crank handle” is a trunk lid support. You can see it in use in one of the pics.

    Hey Ed…

    Do you think the carburetor intake running from the fan shroud could be someone’s idea for a “poor man’s supercharger”? Beer

    @edsnova

    I thought that until I looked closer. It goes through and comes out the other side, takes a right turn and then there’s a filter. It’s really an elegant solution for the no-room-for-a-filter problem that’s a built-in feature of the BCW design. But I think it compromises the cooling system.

    Allen,  thanks for posting this “BCW for sale” link — I now have a great set of pics to reference as I try to bring my big-engined BCW back to life.

    And looking at how the owner had rigged the air intake hose makes me appreciate how the PO of my car extended out the back end of the car to accommodate the dual carbs, header and fat boy muffler…
    Interesting not on the serial number by Ed — I’ll have to go out later and check to see what BCW serial number my car is wearing.
