Original Bradley GT’s were VW powered

If you own a TDr and are not in the Registry, please go to and register (you need to copy and paste the link)

Check the classified section under Other VW Vehicles in There are always a lot of them for sale there. Personally I’d go for any of these kit cars after the MGTD (all VW powered): Bugatti, Jaguar SS-100, Mercedes Gazelle. Sorry to see you’re letting the TD go. Good hunting.

    Club looks pretty thin.

    This one looks better.

–update–that “better” second link above is no good, but it’s supposed to point to Troy’s site (below)

I had a friend that had one many years ago 1970’s not a bad car quick, not fast. my Mustang was way faster,, but it had a look of the future and got a lot of attention and it had a lot of plastic bits when steel was king ,,I remember it being a hot car , noisey  and loud , there a few on Ebay………… GOOD LUCK  Dan

    Hi, Junkman,

I’m the original owner/builder of a 1976 Bradley GT. My Bradley now has  635,000 actual miles behind it on its original 1600 dual port VW engine.

These cars are big fun, and I offer a CD with complete assembly and wiring manuals and 34 years of driving and restoration information about the car.

If you want proper Bradley GT and Bradley GTII information, go to

    Warmest regards,

    Jeff Troy
