Breather Tube

Hi all,

I found that the breather tube on the oil tower was plugged up with a piece of a wooden dowel wrapped in duct tape.  Does anyone have any idea why anyone would do such a thing?

Sometimes oil will travel up the tube when the engine is hot perhaps they didnt want the oil leaking and chose to plug it rather than let it breathe. I put a different air filter at the top of the tube that runs from my oil fill tube to my air filter. I found that oil had sprayed all over my splash guard and onto the back of my spair tire. We went back to plan A.
