I purchased a basket case FiberFab MiGi II and have been restoring it over the past year.  The chrome bumpers and bumper guards are nearly 100% rust covered and need to be replaced.  Can anyone tell me if these are the standard early VW bumpers available through j.C.Whitney and others?

Toma, The VW bumpers are too curved for TD replicas. MG MAGIC probably has the correct ones for your car. The address and phone # are in the links section of this forum. Good luck with your project.

The bumpers are original MG TD style.

If you just need the face bars and overriders:

Moss Motors has the chrome for $123.95 each (front& rear).

Overriders are $36.95 for a set of four.

If you need everything, Moss has the full kits listed near the top of the page (bumpers, overriders, mounts, bolts etc)

If you own a TDr and are not in the Registry, please go to https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/mg-td-replica-registry/ and register (you need to copy and paste the link)

Sometimes ebay will have those, but rarely. I finally removed my little rusty ones and watched ebay. Several times I have seen the original MGTD parts show up at a good price. I have found a lot of items on ebay lately for MGTD.
