Big Savings on Showfield Registrations
For all specialty shows you are eligible for a 10% showfield discount via our Gate-N-Go program. This discount is available now through about one month prior to the event of your choice. It’s a great deal considering you save money plus we’ll mail your credentials weeks in advance of your desired weekend. NOW, with our holiday sale starting on November 28, you can save an additional 10% off. That means once the sale starts, through its close on December 31, 2014 at 11:59 p.m., you can save 20% off the standard rate. Talk about a deal! There is no reason to ever pay full price to attend one of our events. Act now!(Sale Begins Black Friday)

"Drive Happy"November 10, 2014 at 10:43 pm #262104Thanks Bill. You beat me to the punch.
So now the debate over club activities can start (another annual tradition almost as big as Carlisle itself).
If we want to continue to join with the Speedster Owners Club, take advantage of their event and meal planning, their hotel planning etc….we should register under the Speedster Owners Club.
If TDReplica.com wants to go our own way, that’s cool. But somebody needs to get started on making arrangements, finding a hotel, etc. I spent years doing that for the old NJ Replicar Club. Trust me, it’s no picnic.
Just for the record, I’m registering my 356D and my TDr (although I haven’t figured out how to get them both there). And I’m registering with the Speedster Owners Club.
Let the conversation begin!

November 11, 2014 at 2:06 am #262105For the record, I have been to the last 3 Carlisle Import & Kit Car events and I am going to follow suit with the active members of the TDr “Old Guard” whom I loosely define as: Paul, Schu, Bill and Ed.
My opinion is: “It ain’t broke!”
My only relatively minor suggestion is that any TDr awards given at the dinner should only go to attending “card carrying” members of tdreplica.com who display our club badge on their vehicle.
November 11, 2014 at 6:58 am #262106I also will register with SOC. I dont have a problem with someone else doing all the work.

November 12, 2014 at 7:59 pm #262108I’ll also register with the SOC. I did the East Coast Karmann Ghia Trefen each year for four years at Stone Mountain and its a pain. Like Roy has said, and I preach to the younger airmen on base…if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. But I’ll wait till Nov 28th to register. Bill…
do we register on te Carlisle site or do you have a separate site to use for registering?newkitman2014-11-12 20:00:56Allen Caron

November 29, 2014 at 4:24 pm #262119Just in case you were wondering: Julie’s not going to make it this year – I’m flying solo.
November 29, 2014 at 8:16 pm #262120I’m sorry to hear that, Roy. I’m gonna try to get my wife to come. But if she can’t make it I say you and me prowl the bars and see if we can’t get in a good ol’, down-home brawl with some stupid Marines or Army guys.
November 29, 2014 at 8:31 pm #262121Ed,
I was a Marine for 10-1/2 years and I’ll have you know we were not stupid, to get in the Marines at 18, I had to take an IQ test to prove that my IQ didn’t exceed my age. There’s a reason we were called Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children (USMC). Guess I should retake th IQ test now at 73 to see if I would still pass!

December 19, 2014 at 2:18 pm #262122Just registered for Carlisle. Will either be attending with wife Rose or son John.
I presume the Speedster group will be reserving a block of rooms that we can take advantage of.
December 19, 2014 at 2:51 pm #262123Al, look forward to meeting you.
Yes, there is a block of rooms for us. You must identify yourself as a member of the “Speedster Group” since the motel is sold out:Courtyard Marriott Harrisburg West/Mechanicsburg
4921 Gettysburg Rd717-766-9006
Most folks arrive on Friday (May 15), and depart on Sunday (May 17) although it’s pretty much up to you.
Stay tuned for Speedster/TDr events. Sat night will be full with a big dinner and awards ceremony.
December 19, 2014 at 2:51 pm #262124Paul – Is Bruce handling the show set up as he has done in the past or has he passed the torch on to someone else? Just wondering.
