I have contacted the SCCA officials running the AutoX at Carlisle. A new
individual is heading it up this year, but it looks as if we can
proceed as we did last year in “reserving” a block of time Friday
evening for a Saturday morning run. They are to be getting back to me as
far as acceptable time to register and what the registration fee will
be this year. How about a head count for participation?Bill Ascheman

"Drive Happy"April 21, 2014 at 9:18 pm #260231I can’t commit. If the stars align…maybe.
April 22, 2014 at 7:17 am #260232Sorry mine is a maybe too. I’ve never done one so it sounds exciting.
April 23, 2014 at 10:03 am #260233OK, it’s a go. We may preregister Friday for a Saturday run. They will start at 10:00 and commence with 1 hour intervals.
$25 gets you 3 laps of their course 3 times.(that’s 9 laps total).
Besides David and myself who else is in?
Dale?
Roy?
Jack?
Paul?
We also will need to determine run time. I, personally, would like to run early and free up the day.Bill Ascheman

April 23, 2014 at 11:01 am #260235Me, probably not. Jack is traveling so he can’t answer now, but I think he could be convinced – he’s been talking about it for a year.
April 23, 2014 at 11:22 am #260236Bill,
Not sure either this year – but if I do most likely my son Josh will do the run.April 24, 2014 at 7:01 am #260237We’ve received a commitment from Danny P. of the Speedsters Group and a possible from Wild Bill.

"Drive Happy"April 24, 2014 at 11:48 am #260238Plan on participating depending on whether I get my rear disc rotor issue sorted out
April 24, 2014 at 3:25 pm #260239Sounds painful.

"Drive Happy"April 24, 2014 at 4:37 pm #260241Upgraded to rear disc this spring. It was to be be a winter project, but it was just too cold to work in the garage this winter. Long shory short, one of the rotors was badly warped. Of course every thing is mail order and my supplier didn’t have a replacement in stock. Can stop with current rotor, but it pulseses.
May 29, 2014 at 6:02 pm #260242OK…read it and weep. There were some great cars out there during the weekend. When you consider our cars are basically a collection of used parts put together at home in the garage we did a good showing overall. Ed, they changed your name to Eric to conceal your true identity.
