Wondering if anyone has the Classic Roadsters grill emblem that they might want to sell. I currently have the MG octagon but I always tell people it’s a Classic so I thought about replacing the MG if I could find an original.
Ringo, I ‘ve been watching a couple MG grille emblems on ebay thinking of removing the British Coach Works emblem . People keep getting up close to the front of the car to read the emblem because the letters are small and then they ask what kind of car is this.Any way it’s a good conversation starter.I guess the MG emblem would be one more step toward authenticity.
Ed, I haven’t made up my mind for sure about going to the MG emblem and if I do make the change ,I had thought about making a dash plaque using the BCW emblem. I’ll let you know if I decide to replace it.As rare as our BCW’s are, it seems a shame not to identify it for what it is.
Dash plaque was my idea! Ringo’s job got me thinking to redo Bridget’s dash. And since I’ve not done any work at all, but instead have been sitting on me butt dreaming, I’ve hatched all sorts of plans involving glove boxes, new gauges, etc. etc.
One of them was to put the BCW enamel plaque on the dash. Got ideas for the hubcap emblems too, and only one of them on a hubcap.
More on all this later. I don’t want to say too much, lest I end up doing none of it. I want to be able to look you blokes in the eye when/if we finally meet….
