I still have aways to go before I get around to rebuilding my dash but, due to some careless behavior by one of my sons, the old dash that came with the car is lost.
Does anyone have a template I can use for Classic Roadster Duchess? All I really need is the outline and I can take it from there.
One of my sons is going to build a new one from the wood of my choice so, at this time, I’m not interested in buying one from Moss.
January 3, 2012 at 3:54 pm #248602Rocky, I have an original TD dash I took a template from to get started on my new dash project. If you want, I’ll trace it out again for you & send it. PM me your addy if you want it.

July 31, 2014 at 10:35 am #248606Any chance you still have that template and would share? As I get a bit further along in getting the car road-worthy, I’m starting to think about winter (wiring) projects.

Boy, you could really help me out a bunch in getting Royal to stop pointing out how bad the dash on Emma (BCW) looks……and give me yet another winter project…all you have to do is make another tracing of what you used to make your dash in Bridgett and bring it to Va Beach when we go in October….Can’t wait to go for a little bit of a race down the runway — think the sponsoring club at the Air Museum will let us?Your SOOB powered, water-cooled Bridgett vs: my stump-pulling 2332 air cooled Emma…What a race–maybe….!!!! (once I get the oil to stay in the engine……and #3 carb barrel to put some fuel in #3 cyl…..)Congrats on your wonderful “new” high-powered BCW!!!!!JackJuly 31, 2014 at 10:02 pm #248608Hey Jack, sure I’ll trace you a stock TD dash if you’d like. It’s NOT a perfect fit on the BCW but it is a very good start to making a nice dash with authentic curves.
As for racing Bridget, let’s see if she’s drivable in October first. I’m still thinking I might need to puss the engine and replace the head gaskets before I do any long runs. I should know for sure by the end of next week. And remember: I’m fixing to have 140 ft-lbs of torque. Your engine should be doing–sounds like it is doing–50 more than that at least. I don’t think we’re in the same class, race-wise.August 1, 2014 at 8:15 am #248609We can easily feign a breakdown and block the tunnel so you can race there without traffic. I’m good at that.
