December 31, 2011 at 3:43 pm #248544john,
As i’m looking at your car i noticed that the top doesn’t match the interior seats ,Im assuming that the boot and the side curtains matches the top and the carpet matches the interior seats. That is the way mine is.I was thinking about changing the top and boot to match seats. Now i’m wondering.I wouldn’t change it if i thought this is the way it was met to be.
love your car,love your dogs

Just a few minor problems.Sometimes when shifting hard to find 1st. [linkage adjustment]Once it just cut out, short in engine wiring replased all wire connecters.Heading home late fall drive, it quit, called auto club delivered to my house. next day it started fuel related i suspect.I plan on always having extra fuel filter with me.All problems minor.Oh!!! i think its a factory bilt chassis. How do you tell?

January 2, 2012 at 3:34 pm #248553John, I’m so envious right now, you’re driving around the beach and I look outside and see white fluffly stuff blowing in the wind, and it ain’t sand. Love the BRG color of your car too.

January 3, 2012 at 2:55 pm #248555here is my front end on my London roadster.. Is this the typiocal V W suspension or factory built suspension?
January 3, 2012 at 3:31 pm #248556Not a factory VW although it may use some VW components.
January 3, 2012 at 3:58 pm #248557Looks like my steel chassis. Factory built London Roadster. Same coilover shocks. Rear shocks inside coil spring suspension. front spindle’s ,rotors, brakes from a 66-71 squareback or fastback.
Car looks great.

January 3, 2012 at 4:03 pm #248559That there’s a real twin A-arm automotive suspension, bunkie! Nice. Mendaleoa (spelled wrong) gets quite a bit of scratch to put something that looks a lot like that in VW-based tube-framed cars.
January 3, 2012 at 4:37 pm #248560Thanks everyone.. .
It was good to see another cars suspension pix like this in the photo gallery !
The next “to do ” is put the proper size tires on..
