I’m running a crowd funding project on ‘Indiegogo’ to fund my new airshow act.
It would help me if everyone would go look at it. Even if you’re not interested in donating clicking on the like button and getting the word out to the world helps.I’m organizing a new type of airshow act and because it’s like nothing anyone’s seen before I’ve got to put it together on my own. And that takes money. so please check it out and see if you can help.

I’m hoping this will raise enough to get this project finished.

January 11, 2014 at 12:56 am #259328John,
I had no idea of your background and history. Like Ed wrote, “totally insane.” But as we lose the last of that “greatest generation,” I can’t of a more effective way to get across a message of peace. Good luck…I’m in.
That said, I’ve small nit to pick. You mention an “historically accurate” production, but the intro commentary speaks to deaths in “…tens of millions in WWI and “hundreds of millions in WWII.”
Historians agree we’ll never know actual numbers. But in all sources I could find, the generally accepted figure for WWII seems to be in the range of 60 to 80 million military and civilian deaths. A horror to be sure, but hardly hundreds of millions.
A factual misstatement could cause a loss of credibility among the very people that might otherwise be interested in supporting your fund raising.
I sincerely mean to help, not start a fight. And I’m more than willing to be proven wrong. So if I missed the mark…tell me. But if I’m right, maybe you’ll consider an edit to the promo video.
Either way…good luck. I hope you succeed and would love to see this show live!

January 11, 2014 at 2:43 am #259329John, I spent 24 years in our Submarine Force on one of our WWII Diesel Electric’s and Nukes. As a Nuclear Engineer, I can’t help but ask if you could incorporate just one small mushroom cloud? I suppose not, – just kidding.
Each October (for the last two) members of the TDr club have met at The Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach Virginia, which is “home to one of the largest private collections of World War I and World War II era military aircraft in the world”. All of the planes at the museum still fly. Maybe you could shoot it there?? It’s just far enough out of town and I’d bet you would get a ton of support there. And choreograph the show to background music (Ravel’s Bolero ?) concluding with the Star Spangled Banner? With a giant pyrotechnic American Flag at the very end?I’m in. Wish I could help. My kind of gig.(I think Paul’s right about the numbers.)January 11, 2014 at 9:58 am #259330John, I’m in too. Being a veteran myself I thing it’s a great idea to keep the memory of all those that served and the many that gave the ultimate, their lives. I agree with Paul and the rest to check the numbers. Hopefully I’ll see you at the Air Show here in Dayton Ohio someday.
January 12, 2014 at 10:23 pm #259331Thank you for your support. And yes I’ve had others mention the numbers and I think you’re right. unfortunately the video is already on line and would be difficult to change now. A friend of mine (a sales type) wrote the script for the video and I didn’t think to check the numbers.
And Roy…I do have a A-bomb FX But I haven’t come up with a way to fit it in Europe.
The CAF (Commemorative Air Force) Has a show “Tora Tora Tora” I do pyro for them on occasion. Perhaps there….
The show is choreographed to sound effx and audio commentary. The show ends with the Suza “Stars and stripes forever” march. and a red, white, & blue fireworks show.
One of the promoters I’m talking to is doing the Oshkosh airshow there is a chance I’ll be performing Night Raid there. No trees were injured in the making of this message, but some electrons were inconvenienced.
