Cool…some recognition for Bruce Meyers and the Meyers Manx…
In another thread, Ed mentioned the disparity in pricing between our TD replicas and the Speedsters & Spyders. Here’s another one disparity…I took a quick look through Hemmings’ ads for Meyers Manx dune buggies. Asking prices are mostly in the $10,000 to $20,000 range! For a car even less usable then a TD!Just makes no sense. But…the first person to offer $20,000 for my Duchess can driver her away!Paul Mossberg

you could get my award winning Daytona 1952 MiGi for a measly $19,900. Worth every penny.February 19, 2014 at 2:22 pm #259797OK, I’ll take $19,899! 👿

February 19, 2014 at 6:29 pm #259798See? This is the problem. You guys need to hold firm on your prices, otherwise you’ll be letting ’em go for $3,500 just like always.
February 19, 2014 at 6:33 pm #259799Ok $21,500 for mine!! I’m not ready to sell just yet and that should weed out all the tire kickers. (:
February 19, 2014 at 7:15 pm #259800Mine has a documented racing pedigree. Gotta make it worth more don’t you think?

February 20, 2014 at 11:20 am #259805You guys can’t be serious, would you really rather buy a car that has been raced?
Wouldn’t you rather have a prize winning, garage kept, been drizzled on 3 times, car that was once driven by a little old man for a leisurely “Sunday drive” around the Carlisle Autocross track?Real British knock-off wheels, front disc brakes and Holley bugspray carb along with far too many options to list, thrown in.I’m thinking I need to raise the reserve price on MiGi.Royal2014-02-20 12:09:59
February 20, 2014 at 12:40 pm #259806I got it!
We need to sell our cars to each other at ridiculously inflated prices. We keep moving the cars around until we each have our car back. This will establish not just one, but an entire series of new benchmark prices! In short order, TD replicas will be selling on the open market for $25k plus!Paul Mossberg

February 20, 2014 at 7:08 pm #259807Paul, I think you have something there. Seems like something the government would come up with to help the national debt. Did you ever thing of running for office?
February 20, 2014 at 8:38 pm #259808I wrote about some guys a few years ago who were doing that with houses. Three are in jail now, two on the lamb in (I hear Canada) and two more in Israel.
Really good idea though, and maybe not a felony if we don’t involve any banks.February 20, 2014 at 9:28 pm #259809Montie wrote:Paul, I think you have something there. Or sell bonds to China? That’s how our government operates…Early FF TDr on 69 VW pan
