There is a smaller lever next to the parking/emergency brake lever on my LR.
Don’t know what it’s for, so I don’t want to pull it till I know for sure.
I’m sure someone can enlighten me.
Thanks again!Amor Conquista Todo

November 1, 2015 at 3:26 pm #266042It is heater on /off lever . Took me awhile to figure it out
November 1, 2015 at 4:46 pm #266043Steve, When you pull the lever up (with the engine running) do you feel any air coming out of the vents?
You do need heater boxes for the heat to work….and they need to be hooked up with the large hoses to the vents just forward of the boxes alongside the transaxle. ….or, you may have “J-TUBES”
installed = no heat with your current rig.November 1, 2015 at 6:41 pm #266044DON’T DO IT STEVE!!! IT’S AN EJECTOR LEVER!

1982 London Roadster - "Kit Kat"November 1, 2015 at 9:45 pm #266047Thinking that’s the same VW heating mine uses, exactly like that. Vent tubes exit from under seat fronts, outer sides. I was pleasantly surprised how it can help on cooler days once the engine is nice and hot. With top down the wind really stirs it up while moving along and loses that “heat” feeling but I like that it’s there if I want it.
November 1, 2015 at 9:54 pm #266048Well, at least the first and last response were accurate.
Yes Steve, that is the lever that opens and closes the valves on the two heater boxes.
In an original VW, there is a twin on the other side of the emergency brake lever that directed teh warm air to the defrosters.

November 2, 2015 at 2:04 pm #266050I thought those were to start the pour on the optional beer kegs. When lever is pulled the beer flows out of the eagle hood ornaments mouth.
Darn I was saving up for those!November 2, 2015 at 3:48 pm #266051I did not install the Eagle! That must be why mine blows hot air, but no beer!

November 2, 2015 at 6:57 pm #266052The eagle drinks half the beer so that means more beer for you!!!
