Just inspected my top and noticed it’s time to replace it.  Before I call MG Magic and give Brad $600 for a replacement.  I was wondering what others had done to replace their tops.

Many folks have gone to a boat shop and had tops made. Not sure of the cost of going that route. But it will give you many more options than MG Magic’s stock.

    Mel,

I actually found a new top with side curtains on ebay for $200. It was still wrapped from the factory and still had the protective paper on the clear plastic parts. It was a fortunate find, but took 2 months of searching ebay for one to show up. It fit perfectly and can be seen in my photos section.

    Update:

I am having a top made by a local top maker, cost was 30% less than MG Magic and he is installing th snaps and custom fitting.  Should be ready is about two weeks.

    More to follow

Cool beans. What color and was it a boat shop that made your top or a local car upholstery/top shop?

same as old top….Tan to match the side curtains.  Used a local car top/upholsterier.
