    @rosebud-and-bill

    I just wondering how many real members we have.  When peoples birthdays pop up, I read their profile and most of them haven’t visited the site in 5 to 10 years.  Is there anyway to know the real membership?  Or is like The Marine Corps, “Once a Marine, Always a Marine!”

    Even though I’m frequently asked “Are you for real?’, yes I am. I just don’t post often and my Build has slowed down due to spouse’s health.JohnnyB

    I was mentioning members that haven’t visited the site in 5 or 10 years, not ones that have visited, but not posted.  Sorry, no offence intended.

    I never understood why forums wanted birth dates to register. Unless there is some justification I never provide my real birth date due to concerns with identity theft. Having spent 25 years in IT the last in IT Security I have seen first hand the impact of providing birth dates and SIN # hence if that info is ever requested I make sure the requestor is aware of their responsibilities when requesting my personal information and action I will take if identity is comprised

    Not exactly Allen.

    I periodically delete members that have never posted, or those that spam before I get a chance to delete them.

    If a member has posted a legitimate post at least once, they are here for life.

    But
    since you are interested, here are the counts for members that have

    Bill,

    No offence taken. I’ve had that line in my head for years and that was the first chance I’ve had to use it. Sometimes my comments actually pertain to the subject at hand.JohnnyB

    I also have my little quirks.

    People catch me talking to myself, but I tell them I only do it when I want Expert Advice.
