Last August I purchased a Daytona replica 1952 MG-TD on a 73′ V.W. chassis. There has been little to no maintance by previous owners of this car.
The rear torsion bar support bushings are worn out. It appears I can remove the running board on each side and access these plates. Is this correct or will I need to raise the body in order to replace these bushings? I know the rear fenders are molded to the body.
I don’t think I want to tackle this job but I have located a repair shop that works on the older V.W.’s and they will do the job if I can tell them how to access these plates/bushings.
Thanks
Bill
