Beautiful car. It was listed about two months ago and I could swear it went for less than $20,000, but I sliced it out of my “watching” file.
(edit: check the vids on this ad, especially the one on the lower left–long, 10 minutes–dude in a ’51 TD gobbling up the competition on a NH track)
Moss keeps saying the market for these cars in in the mid 20s, but Ebay keeps telling me they’re in the low 10s.
Very odd, considering this guy. $80k for an old Jeep–and a replica to boot!? As the Times enthuses, “price is beside the point for the customers he envisions. These would be idealists and design purists like himself who, when making any acquisition, seek out the finest.”
Hmmm. I think the first guy to stuff an ecotec into a nicely detailed TD body is gonna up his resale value beyond the Shelby car, provided it’s done elegantly. . . and he lives in Brentwood.
