That’s a video I’d love to see. Bill cornering with the door open and driving hard!

Does anyone know an easy way to get it from my Library to this reply box?

you will need to post to you tube then post a link to it.I think that would be the easiest way to do it.TDREPLICA Map

October 1, 2012 at 9:17 pm #249920It is truly awesome particularly when compared to my lame, back-firing, lame-ass driving.
Bill, please post them all. That last round when you looped it was cool too.
We really gotta get “Hero” cams for next year though.
October 2, 2012 at 8:07 pm #249921OK, I hope this works.
I don’t think the spin was caught on video.
I think these are in order. Three runs of three laps each.
Keep in mind the Start/Finish line is halfway up the front straight. (moving right to left0Enjoy !!

I fixed the links.
And they are in order.
Great catch on the door!

October 2, 2012 at 10:07 pm #249923Great cornering while closing the drivers door. Did you think you were going to squirt right out of the seat onto the track? By the 3rd run it looked like you had gotten the hang of it.

"Drive Happy"February 18, 2015 at 11:17 am #249925Bump.
We have a lot of new TDr owners. I hope this 3 yr old post can help you avoid very costly repairs as well as injury.
Don’t leave home without ’em.February 18, 2015 at 5:19 pm #249926Thanks for the great tip! Eliza Jane will get hers once shes rolling again.
February 18, 2015 at 6:59 pm #249927I drove my TDr from 1982 until 2012 without the safety locks.
Never had a problem.
Then along came Roy and this thread. I added them. 😉

Great to see that car being put through some rigorous driving, so thanks for posting those links.Just got my “new” quarter century old replica this month and it needs a good going-over underneath the body. All bushings cracked, some slop in the steering, wheel rims bent. At least it’s rust-free and everything else denies its age. But I would be afraid to drive it hard until it gets fixed up.Couldn’t help thinking about those little doors. Will latch mine too.March 16, 2015 at 8:31 am #249929well luckily having a custom heavy tube chassis my LR doors are secure…never opened and I drive the hell outa it !;)

I went to the West Marine web site and found several different length hooks; 1 1/2″-3″.
What is the length you used? It’s hard to tell from your pics.
Thanx again!Amor Conquista Todo
February 1, 2016 at 1:21 pm #249931Steve, I used the 1-1/2″ latches. But the longer ones might work well also.
