I can do without the lion’s head knocker on the doors and the mud flaps but otherwise, I like it.  Approve

To many badges and I’m not liking the French louvers on the top of the front trunk area. Also am not a fan of the green shaded wind wings. Wheels are cool except the spare tire is a wire wheel hubcap and not a real wire wheel. All in all its okay but would be better if the owner toned it down just a tad.

    I
    agree I would De-Bling it  big time ..otherwise it’s a nice replica…

    It
appears to have some of the features of a LR kit  car..

Too much bling. But most of that is easily fixed

The chrome edging has to go. And the lion’s head door pulls and green wings will be in the trash with them. Dash is kinda busy, need to remove the club badges. Too many grill badges.

Beyond that, I hate ads that mislead, whether intentional or not..

“1600 cc High Performance VW Engine”? No. That there is probably bone stock.

“Matted to….” Well, “mated” maybe. I’ve never seen a matted transmssion

“Original 1937 Radiator Cap, Original 1948 MG Hood Releases, Morgan Stripes” OK, but what is all that doing on a reproduciton 1952 TD?

“Original style gauge package” No, they are not. Vintage look maybe. But definitely not “original style TD”

We can see through all that. But a newcomer to the hobby is being misled.

    And…how about an asking price?

Paul, you really have good eyes.   I couldn’t get the pictures to enlarge to see that much, but I agree way too much bling and extras.

OK, so, trying too hard generally. But it does look like those might just be Jag-spec wire wheels. The Jag hubs are a lot beefier than the MG/Triumph kind, and those look legit. They’re overkill on that car but tell you something encouraging, perhaps, about the P.O.

Here’s the website, if you want to look at it up close, and lots more pics.  Tons of chrome on the engine.  Didn’t see an asking price however.

Bill, that is an email address. Not a web site.

    Try this http://www.bluemarlinmotorsusa.com/1952_MG_TD_Stuart_FL_251097635.veh

Website says to email for a price. If you think the car has a lot of bling, wait ’til you get a load of the engine.

    I actually like the engine.

Who wants to bet the owner has these on his daily driver? 😆

I’m not sold on coil-over shocks on a stock VW torsion bar front end.

Like Ed said, the owner was just trying too hard. But a lot of this is reversible. For the right price….

I’m of two minds on the chromed-up engine. On the one hand, it looks nice and obviously someone has spent a lot of money it. On the other hand, it’s money that could’ve been spent on something more practical, like brakes or gas or oil. Most of the time, the rear deck lid is closed, so who’s going to see it? Wacko

Combine that with the fact that most VW chrome engine stuff is Empi cheap Chinese tin that doesn’t fit well, and only has one layer of chrome so it pitsa and rusts quickly…
