Well guys starting Monday I am going enter the world of unknown.  Wish me luck!!

Building a new Dash.  Rewiring the complete car. Installing new gauges. Repainting the rear fenders and trunk.  Installing new shocks etc.  Never built a dash and never in my life rewired a car. So it will be a great learning event.  Thankfully I have some help from friends.  Hopefully i will have it all finished by the end of next month.  Once done the car will have been gone through from one end to the other.

    I’ll post some pic’s as I go along.Smile

Agreed. This is the first kit I’ve ever built. Very different that when you already have a messed up vehicle to start with. It gives you a look at some of all the pitfalls of building a car from scratch and you get to learn, unlearn and re-learn things.

Go, Mark, go! The wiring will yield up its secrets as you go. Be patient and illogical, and after a while it will start to make sense & get easier.

If you’re rewiring from scratch it’s OK to use logic.

Here is a link to how I rewired my 1968 C-10 named El Scorcho. The methods discussed there can be used in any rewire job. The use of a plywood layout board makes everything really easier by doing most of the wiring on a bench instead of on your back halfway under a dashpanel.

Gabor demonstrates the use of logic in wiring! Very nice.

I love that Scorcho truck. That’s not the one with a Jag front clip is it?
