I’m having some trouble with my wiring and want to make sure I have the fundamentals right.  Each turn signal has 3 wires coming out of it, 2 black, 1 red.  Anyone know which one is supposed to be the ground?

    Fancy picture below….

Color coding is not always consistent. Ground connects to the shell of the bulb and the two hots each connect to one of the two contacts at the base of the bulb. Follow the wires, or check the continuity.

One wire will be hot with the parking lights turned on. One wire will be hot with the turn signal activated(flashing). The remaining wire is your ground.

Just noticed that a posting of mine is missing.

Your bulb has two filaments, one of which burns brighter than the other. Just make sure the turn signal circuit activates the brighter filament.
