Re-built the engine last fall, but had a problem getting it to run well.  Found out the electronic idle shut off didn’t work worth a hell of beans so replaced it with a non-electronic one and the engine runs great.  Then just in th last month or so completely re-did the bakes and master cylinder now time to re-wire my TD because the previous owner wired everything in red, go figure.   I plan on  pulling the dash next week and replacing it along with all new gauges and plan to re-wire everything at once. By the way I found you can now use a GPS module in your cars and replace the Speedo with a electronic Speedo and get rid off the Speedo cable. the module can be placed anywhere in the car etc.

Any ideas on the best Harness/Loom to use.?

Also has any found any High Back pucket back seats for the TD’s with a VW pan?  I have just the standard seat configuration and after a half day riding one gets TB/Tired Butt.

    Thanks Mark

Schu has a thread on rebuilding the seats to make them more comfortable.

“Painless Wiring” has several universal harnesses with fuse blocks depending how many circuits you need to run.

Rebel Wire is another place but I believe most folks are using the simple wiring found on the web.

When I built my last car I did quite a search for affordable wiring. The best deal was EZ Wiring
