Looking for a Ford or Chevette based kit. Running would be nice. Needing some finishing is ok too. Something in the 4 to 6 K range. Something other than white is a plus! 🙂

Good to have you back – I will be watching for one for you.
How is the MGB doing?
January 24, 2021 at 9:08 am #307387Rick just got a pile of TD body parts from Wayne here local ( closing down his VW shop ) but it was a rear engine kit.
I will let Rick tell us his plans when the time comes.
January 24, 2021 at 9:45 am #307389Hey Dale – finished the MGB and sold it. Back to looking for a TD. I have looked at restoring an original but I keep coming back to the thought of wanting something with more modern running gear. Thanks for adding a pair of eyes to my search. I know how resourceful you are!

Will be watching – all local on FB MP right now seem to be VW based.
January 30, 2021 at 6:13 pm #307394I may have found one. It’s up in Michigan. I would post a pic here but I can’t figure out how to do it. I added a few pics of it under my profile. It’s the silver one.

That rig looks fantastic at first glance. Any issues or just buy and drive? Is there a turbo hiding in there?
January 31, 2021 at 4:44 pm #307396Looks like it sits a little high in the back but good for big boys…
January 31, 2021 at 4:55 pm #307397Yes, a turbo. 1986 ford svo 2.3 out of a Mustang. It’s a driver. I am sure I can find something to do on it.

February 1, 2021 at 9:12 am #307398Very cool – let us know if you get it – looking forward to seeing it.
February 1, 2021 at 9:35 am #307399Looks like 175- 200 HP?
February 1, 2021 at 12:04 pm #307400<p style=”text-align: right;”>Yes, I believe that is the HP rating. Certainly won’t need all of it to move the TD. :-)</p>

February 1, 2021 at 6:11 pm #307403I always wanted to see a turbo’d one of these. Even nagged Bill to do that instead of throwing the 302 in his. Hope I can see this one up close in a few months!
February 1, 2021 at 8:11 pm #307404I hope so too Ed.

February 8, 2021 at 9:21 pm #307414Carlisle is scheduled for the normal weekend. The Speedster Owners Club is pondering out next move. Planning to come to a decision early March.
I’m leaning yes, but much depends on the vaccine rollout and how the mutations carry. This thing is in no way slowing down, and half a million dead is nothing to, well, sneeze at.
February 25, 2021 at 7:17 pm #307441I have a Ford based one i am thinking of selling. It is gelcoat white. Contact me at 904 571 0026 if interested.
