Hello Bill Does your windshield fold down? If so, can you provide some detailled photos? I have the brackets and can fabricate the windshield side supports (Moss 408-230 & 240) but I am not sure if the fold-down feature is useful. Is it?
Sorry to reply so late. I have converted mine yet as I was gathering parts. I now have everything I need except glass for the windshield.
I am not sure if building a fold-down windshield is worth the effort but with two exceptions it is not a lot of work.
1. Trim the scuttle to allow for the brackets ti fit
2. Rig a proper way to attach the convertible top
I also have a Jaguar SS100 replica with a fold down windshield. I got it about a month ago from an estate and have not driven with the windshield down.
I had some things to do to it include a new HEI system and other tweaking I hope to complete this weekend.
One thing I see for the Jag is the need to remove the wipers because they interfere with the windshield posture when laid down. I don’t know if the same will apply to the TD.
I will keep y’all posted.
I do have a question for you. Where did you get the big hood vents?
The hood louvers I had made by a local hot rod shop. I then just grafted the louver panel into the hood.
The sides were made by grinding/routing out the slots, correct?
Did you make a jig?
