I just read through the FiberFab, MiGi and CMC assembly manuals and found nothing there to help. They all infer the curtains are fully finished off.

Ditto most of what Roy said.
I’ll assume you have “front” correct because the curtain fits the rest of the roof cutout in this orientation. Also, the leading edge of the window portion is typically straight, not curved.The leading edges of the curtain looks unfinished to me. Are the curtains longer than the side openings? Just making sure Joe!You know, at the end of the day, the local inspection facility staff will have no idea what a CMC VIN plate is “supposed to look like.” Sounds to me like you can mock up what ever you want!

I have a Classic Roadsters Ltd. serial number plate on my TDr. Not sure if other manufacturers provided anythign similar.
But NJ DMV (now known as MVC) did not use that number. When I built her back in 1982, NJ DMV used the VW Beetle donor car VIN. I cut the VIN plate off the dash of the Beetle and riveted it to the TDr body.

Hi Dave.FB received!You should be able to post pics now. We had a problem with a ton of junk files that filled our storage space. We have 2gig for free. There was about 1.2 gig of garbage! All is better now, thanks to Stephen Houser!
