GREAT gas milage!
October 21, 2010 at 4:31 am #242542Thanks All…I’ve been working on the car since I got it, so a little over 2
months, the car is a factory built chevette, glad you love the wheel and dash,
as this has been the biggest part of the fix up, and I am quite proud of the
choice of color compared to the stock and the way it came out.
Currently I am edging the body, just to give it a more custom look. The car
was in fairly good shape when I found it, and it has been more of a R&R on
the mechanics and customization of the interior.
First car show will be coming this weekend, so we’ll see how she does.
September 12, 2010 at 3:00 am #242131Geoff – We’ll catch up with one another one of these days, I’ll let you know
when I’m headed to a car show on that side of town.
James – Funny how close it looks on the map, must be the scale, lol
Paul – Let me know when your in the area, sounds like winner.
Well back to work on the car, trying to fix a few things while the dash is out,
seems a few wires were not hooked up correctly but I got them where they
belong now, thanks to this website and the build manuals posted here. Don’t
know what I would have done without that wiring diagram.
September 9, 2010 at 2:30 pm #242185That’s a great pic, Roy
I have a mustang and go to a lot of car shows here in AZ. Always love seeing
the cobra guys out there. Always wanted to get a yellow cobra kit, maybe
someday, if I can get a deal as good as I got on my MGTD
September 9, 2010 at 4:47 am #242181Sweet, I can just hear those cobra guys grumbling,
Did you get any pics? Post them up if you did.
September 8, 2010 at 2:01 pm #242127I’m over in Glendale.
btw, you know anything about the AZ Kit Car Club, I tried to contact them
but can’t seem to get their internal messaging system to work, website hasn’t
been updated since April
September 8, 2010 at 3:39 am #242178Did see the download manuals link on this website? I downloaded the one for
my MGTD and it has been a great help and a wealth of info.
September 8, 2010 at 3:05 am #242124The new spinners arrived today
and got the MG emblem installed, looks much better than the FF emblem
September 2, 2010 at 4:49 pm #242123Thanks James, I looked around on eBay and found just what I was looking
for, going to make the car look much more authentic.
September 2, 2010 at 1:52 am #242121Thanks Guys, I just finished a Mustang build and was looking for a new
addition to the garage when i found this little jewel. The owner before me
hadn’t put but 150 miles on her in the past 3 years. After checking the
history of the car and checking everything out, it was just too good a deal
(and car) to pass up.
In answer to the wheel question, the spinners are missing and that is one
of the current things I want to put back on the car. The center cap on the
spare says American Racing, but they do look like Westerns.
Any help with finding spinners will be greatly appreciated.
When the dash is finished, I’ll post some pics, I think the red mahogany
with matching steering wheel will bring the car together, with it being red
with a black interior.
