 Me too – man that would save some room for storage! Also – I always wondered why they left the leg room shorter on the passenger side? Seems they could have extended it some – one of my some day fixes.  

 Looks like a nice build – very clean all around except the engine itself, but that would not take long to correct.Who is going to jump on this one? I agree w/ Ed on the seats, but might change my mind after a few hours on the road.

 OK – if you are going to do this do yourself a huge favor and do a search on my fix and I think someone else did a seat fix to avoid DBS – ( dead butt syndrome ) that will happen to you if you sit on that plywood for more then 1/2 hour. Best fix I ever did on my car. I have pictures someplace on the thread as well. Good luck

Greg, Yours is Ford/Chevy/VW based? I always thought the VW based would be at least 200-300lbs less – anyone know?

Thanks Paul – even though it has low rider wheels! I did use tall tires to try and not make that look and it worked a bit – I am good w/ the rear tracks – just wish I could bring in the front wheel track a bit w/o so much work. I do like the hot rod look though – after all these are not real – make them how you want

Guys,Mine looked worse then that when I dragged it home for 600.00 a few years ago and many hours later. It can be done, but do you want to put yourself through the pain. My Speedster project was not much better either – they all can be restored.

Roy,I should be able to get you a measurement in the next day or do – car covered for the winter and all – I have twin Kadrons w/ cone style air cleaners. Hopefully you can make something fit.

Seems a little high to me since you can still buy a driver for 3,000 to 3500 if you look. Also if the body has lots of cracks in the gel coat you are in for lots of work ( ask me how I know ) so take your time and check that closely. Engine and pan and everything included? I have pictures posted here some place of my seat fix – worked great and still going strong – one of the best fixes I ever did for my car.

OK guys – this is my D-Day for the Va beach trip – everyone still up for this and ready to go? It looks like the weather will hold out but be a bit cold. Car is now ready except for a wash and gas.

No word from Ed? We got by OK at my house, but my project got hit and power still out – been pumping basements w/ my guys since early this morning ( sump pumps not working ). Ed’s area and north of him hit the hardest. Hope is is out and ok.
