Missing or burned out headlights, missing or rusted out body panels, rusted out mufflers, the list goes on and on. Many are obvious safety…[Read more]

As I understand it, the problem was due mostly to the use of “positive earth” i.e. positive grounding as opposed to negative grounding. My first car, a 1964 MGBGT that had been converted from positive to negative grounding.I was told that with positive grounding, a series circuit was used. All fixtures were fed by one wire from one to the next…[Read more]

Personally, I like the sound of the engine on my LR.It has a nice throaty rumble. It IS more amplified with the top and wings up. Seems to box in the sound.

I keep my LR in a storage garage about a mile away, and go at least once every week just to check things and start it up. If it’s warm enough ;30+, I’ll take it out for a short one or two mile trip. Can’t wait for May! As to living in S. Cal, I have family there and been there many, many times. I agree with the traffic, air, water, and other…[Read more]

Thanks for everyone’s input.I too, have been thinking of ways to add shoulder straps. Never could come up with a workable solution. But after reading through all this, I’ve changed my mind. I’m keeping the lap belts like they are.To be morbidly honest, I’m not sure if shoulder straps would be of any added safety in event of a wreck. Sort of like…[Read more]

Good Work!I have a question about dashboards. My LR has a fiberglass dash covered by thin veneer. Is that how others are as well, or do some have a full wooden dash? Some day I would like to replace mine, but don’t know if it’s possible.
