My kit has an eagle hood mascot on the gas cap and a Duchess badge where the MG logo would go. I often think of changing it.

secretagentcat replied to the topic where's the ign switch? in the forum General Discussion 10 years, 3 months ago
Ditto on Eliza Jane. Ive never had a problem with crimp on connectors. I also removed my old VW teering colum and used an ignition switch from socal speed shop and mounted them on the dashes.

I took my dash off for the template. I then made two dashes one solid oak and the other I had company water jet another out of aluminum for winter driving. It doesnt take long to change them between the seasons and I dont worry about the rain warping the oak. I keep a set of switches and guages installed on both dashes so I just disconnect the…[Read more]

I wonder how many would need to be produced to make it cost effective. When I google them many hot rod owners want them but cant get them. I think it would be a great piece of history to bring back and they would sell like hot cakes. Im not sure who owns the rights to the designs but maybe its possible. Me and thousands of others would really love…[Read more]

I saw some on ebay but they werent a functional set. The real ones go for around 4,000.00 a pair if you can find them and they sell fast. Thats why Im hoping that they could be reproduced for much less. With her grey body and black fenders Eliza Jane would look even better! Like the difference between high heels and stilletos.

The hot rod sight I mentioned before has a section on how to add emergency flashers to an existing system. Good info.

Also two great places to look for switches and guages are socal speed shop and west marine. They have heavy duty switches that are more expensive than the ones that come with our kits but are worth it. I installed the switches without relays and so far no problems.Socal speed shop also has some cool acessories like mirrors lights and much…[Read more]

Great plan! I started out the same way. Over the years Ive spent many late nights just tinkering under the hood. When shes running shes my daily driver rain or shine so it pays to keep up the routine maintainance. The more I replace the old with high quality new parts the more time I get to spend doing the fun stuff like adding cool Bond gadgets.

I find that when company arrives thats the time to pass the tools around for free help. Remember Huck Fin and the white wash paint? Who doesnt want a chance to spend some time with an exotic car? Pass out beer with the tools and call it a party!
