Hi Dave,
I joined the Central Jersey Club because it meets nearby and I like all types of MG’s and English cars in general. Call me lazy but right now I don’t have the time nor inclination to deal with 65+ year old car issues. I like the “grab and go” aspect of the BCW ’52 and so far have been able to fix most things by getting parts at NAPA.I a… -

Steve,
The radio and GM heater control panel are still there.Got a Pioneer Sterio from Best Buy ($60) it is a one-knob deal. I routed out the hole where the old radio went, put in the metal sleeve that came with the pioneer, then pushed the radio far enough back into the hole where it doesn’t interfere with the door. Heater panel got res… -

Here’s my Horn fix…. basically pulled it off the column, got an MGA dash mounted horn and rewired – now works great!

Thanks again folks.
Yes the fogs are hooked up the way they are supposed to be in NJ.When the old switch failed and the headlights didn’t work too the volt gauge jumped when I tried to put the headlights on and the wing lights flickered, so there was something hot still going on in the failed switch that worried me.In light of this I put an i… -

Thanks again Ed, Seems to have been the “new” switch I put in for the fog-lights.
Once it was disconnected the headlights came on again! I re-installed the Lucas type (slightly wonky) switch and everything works fine…. well with the exception that the Lucas switch needs to be wiggled to work…..I’m thinking that putting a simple barrel fu… -

Now that I’ve looked at the pictures again I’m sorry that the rest of the wheel (besides the spinners) looks shoddy.
The “patina” of the car in general makes everyone think it is an “unrestored” original…. even the folks at the TD Enthusiast’s group (where I posted a photo of “my ride”) who immediately noticed the 15 hole variety were 14 inch… -

I know I’m responding to an old string, but because hubcaps are not an easy option for me here’s a series of progression photos of what I have done with the BCW “limited edition” plastic center caps that came with the car.

Tom Vilardi replied to the topic BCW construction in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 8 years, 7 months ago
Ric, In digging through the various discussions here and elsewhere it appears that the raw materials used to build the BCW’s were indeed new and purchased directly from GM or perhaps even through a GM sub-contractor.
I may have already mentioned this, but my BCW is actually titled as an “ASC” which may stand for “American Sunroof Co… -
