Very nice work the car looks spectacular. I am interested in the gauge rebuild process also. What type of front beam is that picture looks like it only has one tube? What type of rims or those?

I removed the small leaves and cut the beam and welded in adjusters top and bottom. This not only softened up the ride but lowered the front closing the gap between the fenders and tires. I like a slight rake downward in the front.

Paul is right about the history of Classic Roadsters. I also understand that the remnants of the company are owned by someone from Saskatchewan Canada and I heard a rumor that the CMC folks are actually the factory five folks, any truth to that? The quality of this kit is amazing the fiberglass is very thick and strong it has roll up windows a…[Read more]

In Reedsport oregon. I was recently transferred there by my company. I have often joked with the wife about now that all but one of the kids are gone and he is off to college we can downsize to a two bedroom house with a 4 car garage. Couldn’t find that but I found a 3 bedroom house that sits on top of a six car garage. the house sits on a one…[Read more]

i’m not sure what the laws are where you live but the records for many states only go back 10-15 years therefore any vehicle not registered in that time period is dropped from the records. You then can go to the state patrol or dmv depends on who does the vehicle inspections and tell them that you lost the title and its been sitting so many years…[Read more]

Donna, As Larry said get the grill slats from MG magic. I also have a Daytona Migi and they are slightly different shaped. The cockpit slopes down a bit in the back where the fiber fab and CMC ‘s go straight This makes the tops for those cars a couple of inches too short in the back. Brad at MG magic is very knowledgeable and can tell what other…[Read more]

Ed,
in addition to our obsessive car hobby, I brew my own beer, so though it is a nice gesture, a six pack is not needed. We really enjoy use of the site and all the great info and comeraderie. I look forward to coming home each evening and seeing whats up with the group as well as sounding out issues I’ve encountered. Bottom line we really need…[Read more] -
