Hi folks,
I tried this last year with little success…but am trying again!
If you are west of the Mississippi, the largest gathering of kit car owners and manufacturers you will find in one place will be found at the Carlisle Import-Kit/Replicar Nationals, May 18, 19 and 20, 2007.

The On-line Speedster group has made this their major east coast gathering. They get around 50 or so speedsters.
It would be awesome to see a bunch of MG reproductions on the field.
I’m pretty sure at least three list members will be there, Bill Collins, Pink MG (Mark) and me, Paul Mossberg. We can all be found at the New Jersey Replicar Club tent on the show field (just ask a Carlisle staff person where the NJ club is, if you don’t spot the tent yourself.)
Don’t miss it!!! With or without your MG reproduction.

The Carlisle event is put on by Carlisle Productions,a family run firm that puts on about 12 or so major car shows each year. Among them are shows focused on GM, Chrysler, Ford, motorcycles, Import/Kit/Replicars, corvette…much more detail on their web site.
So…no, this event does not “travel”. It’s always in Carlisle.

Hi Guys,
I will be there as well – went the last couple of years w/o my car- not done yet, but will be driving it this year as it will be complete!
I am coming up Friday and staying Friday night and Sat night and will be leaving Sunday morning. I am also a member of the on-line speedster group and will be staying at the Ramada w/ that group as I hope to build one of the speedsters as my next project.
Hope to see you all there – some of you again. How about a group ride somewhere??

Sounds good – Are you going to their planned dinners on Friday and Sat nights? Driving w/ the group in your car?
I am still working through issues on mine, but hope to have it together in time. I am waiting for my dual carbs to come back from CA and get them installed and adjusted. Worse case – I will tow the car w/ my tow bar and then just drive it around Carlisle.

Quick report (albeit late) on th Carlise ImMport/Kit Car show.
First and most important, amidst a sea of Speedster reproductions sat Dale’s beautiful MG TD replica. Nice car Dale! And I believe the only TD repro on the field. Next we really have to get a bunch of us there.
I gave in to my other interest and drove out in one of my Volvos. Volvo was the featured marque this year, and I figured I’d support my friends in the Volvo Club of America.
That said, I spent most of my time with the guys and gals from the Speedster Owners online group. Like most car folk, a great bunch of guys. And a ton of kit car and VW knowledge in this group.
Good people, good food, good fun.
