July 11, 2012 at 12:14 pm #234215I finally got my MGTD finished enough for road tests on July 3rd. After adjusting the choke, timing, and mixture, the new ’78 engine started and it ran well (music to my ears). I did some polishing on Thursday and drove it across town to a car show on Friday and Saturday. The link here is to the coverage of the show by the Jackson, MI newspaper.I was very pleasantly surprised to be judged “Best in Class” and got a wall clock trophy. There is still pleanty to do but I can finally get in some local cruising. Thanks to all that posted so much helpfull information on the forum. You saved me a lot of time and I have included many improvements that are based on your years of experience..
