Ed, I tracked down your thread on gas caps and ordered a flip top style for the car. Thanks to Schu
I didn’t lose the conventional cap on our VA Beach trip. Well, I had to remove the mounting panel for the spare tire to put it on and decided to tear it down and apply some color. I hope this dosen’t snowball into something I’ll regret. After 23 years, I’ve grown accustomed to her face.Bill Ascheman

"Drive Happy"January 21, 2013 at 8:53 am #253937Paul, If I”m seeing MG Magic’s price list correctly, they have a light like this available in both the one bulb and two bulb style.
January 21, 2013 at 8:56 am #253938Bill, that should buff out!
Dude I just noticed: is that a berber carpet you car is parked on?
edsnova2013-01-21 08:58:20January 21, 2013 at 10:10 am #253939ED, actually, that’s Bill’s living room!
Larry,Thanks…but I’m not seeing them. Can you be a bit mroe specific? The “two hole” lenses listed mean two screw holes (as opposed to one hole and one tab), not two bulbs.Bill’s lights look like Lucas L549 lenses which are a one bulb lens:PMOSSBERG2013-01-21 10:10:53

While looking into Larry’s lens comment, I found these, LEDs to replace the single bulb in an L549 lens:Paul Mossberg

January 21, 2013 at 10:21 am #253941Hey Bill, I think somebody stole your engine and left a metal box in its place. Maybe I still have a chance at the Carlisle autocross. 😆
January 21, 2013 at 11:26 am #253942Paul, on page 1 of the MG Magic price list,go down to tailights.
tailight assembly Lucky replacement Ford Chevy single blub $54.50 ea.VW with extra socket assembly $61.85 ea.Looking at the first picture that shows the light on Bill’s car ,it looks like he has the Lucky light not the Lucas . I may be WRONG again.Hope this helps.January 21, 2013 at 11:38 am #253943Thanks Larry

January 21, 2013 at 7:19 pm #253944Ed, yes, that is a Berber carpet under the car, and yes, it’s FROM my living room. What better use for the old carpet than to cover that cold garage floor this winter?

There are many light lens and bases on ebay for Morris cars NOS and used . Just a note I use an old couch pillow when i am working under my cars. Dan R

Fender and running board successfully modified. The center section containing the runnung board will be removable. This will allow for the construction of a cage.Bill Ascheman

"Drive Happy"February 25, 2013 at 9:02 pm #253954Interesting. So you are going to build a cage outside the tub? And make it a snap-on, snap-off deal with the mounts hidden under the running board?
Cuz that sounds like a neat idea–if that’s the idea.
