Chassis Number and Engine number

    OK..here is my first question. The guy I’m buying the car from sent me the following numbers and I tried looking them up on the listings on Samba, but I obviously don’t understand how the numbering sequence works. Can anybody confirm what I think I have as listed below?

     

    Chassis   119381009 (1969?)

     

    Engine     AE 091677 (1971-1972?)

    From the source I have:

    Chassis – August 1969

    Engine – 1971-1972, 1600cc dual port with dual relief case

    Allen Caron
    VW based 53MGTD - "MoneyPenny"
