For my B day I am planning on getting a new boot for my convertible top .I have seen the ones on MG magic . I E mailed the company and they said that there boots fit all TD replicas . After looking at it I believe it will . What do you guys think .
I also inquired about the convertible tops and they said there’s would fit all . The London Roadster would take some minor modification .The boot for my convertible top only covers the bows, not the complete top folded down… You must take the fabric top off the bows first and store it separately. If that’s what you’re looking for, I see no reason why one wouldn’t fit all TDr’s.

Slowly coming back from the ashes...The boot I have is the original from FiberFab (that looks a lot like the one MG Magic has) and it covers the top folded down around the bows.

I’ve gone through a couple. The Fiberfab boot holds the top folded on the bows.

"Drive Happy"Just my humble opinion, we already know the bodies from different manufacturers vary. I doubt a pre-sewn boot would truly be a one size fits all. At a minimum, make sure any boot you order does not have the snaps installed. You’ll want to install them yourself as you attach the boot to your car.
Another option to consider, Classic Roadsters Ltd.’s “boot” really isn’t a boot. It’s a cover that goes completely around the folded top and bows. It does not attach to the car at all. Kinda hard to describe. Sort of a long envelope, with the opening on leading edge that closes up with Velcro. Not very authentic looking, but would be real simple to make.

The “boot” that I have, that I described above, simply zips around the bows when they are down as shown below. It does not attach to the body at all, it just hides the bows and dresses it up… Meanwhile the storage behind the seat is readily available, though you must store the top and zip-in windows up front in the trunk — assuming you’re carrying them at all.
I don’t have a pic of it installed… Sorry!

Slowly coming back from the ashes...I have e mailed MG Magic with my concerns . I really don’t expect to here from them until Monday. I believe what they are talking about is the boot going around everything bows canvas top etc.( kinda like a pillow case). I have went out in my garage and practiced folding . I found a picture on the internet on how to fold a sport car convertible top that helped. When I was in Carlisle I watched some one in our group fold one . One thing I noticed when folding you can get it pretty tight around the bows and the window doesn’t seem to be in the way.
Hi, Here is a picture of my top cover. I bought it from MG MAGIC, 119.00 I think was the price. My top fits in perfect. I don’t have the side covers but believe there is also room to add them inside also.

SpikeWell — that one looks about the same size as the one I have (except mine is black). Maybe I can learn how to fold the top correctly and it will fit in there. Doh!

Slowly coming back from the ashes...WOW! You guys never cease to amaze me ! Anybody have folding instructions . The London Roadster has a flat piece of steel the length of the windshield that slips in the grove on top of windshield frame to secure the front of the convertible top . When folding top should this be removed .
My metal strip stays put. I just fold the sides in, then the top gets folded. It’s simple once you try it
Hey Greg, be very careful not to break the rear window if it’s cold. I usually only fold mine a after it’s been in the sun for a few hours.
Same basic concept as the Classic Roadsters Ltd. boot.
Fold the sides of the roof up so nothing is wider than the bows, push the bows together, pull the front of the roof through to the rear, wrap the roof around the bows and put the cover on. The metal strip in the front stays in.

Yea what Paul said, sometimes easier than others. It does fit, very tightly. No way you could get the side curtains in there too (on mine anyway).
My side curtains do not fit in the boot.

As I said I contacted mg magic and today they emailed me . Its as most everyone said . Leave top on bows and boot slips on over everything . Side curtains will not fit . Thanks for your imput. I especially loved the pictures . I now no what it will look like . Just for your info . It is 2 degrees at my house . Think spring.
