I’m neck deep in trying to rebuild a FF VW Migi and the nose is giving me fits. The original builder disregarded the pre marked drill points and cut lines on the hood, hood sides, grille shell, grill insert and fenders and assembeled it all cockeyed and misaligned. I think if i can properly locate the grille shell in relation to the front beam I might be able to unf**k this thing. What I’m looking for is the measurement at the front bumber standoffs between the front beam upper mounting bolt (at the beam face) to the rear of the grille shell where the bracket attaches. I could also use some pictures of the bottom of the  inner grill shell where it relates to the two original VW body mounting points on the top of the beam. Also any pics of the hood side attaching locations and dimensions at the grille shell as well as hood dimensions. I have the FF assembly manual but it gives no dimensions or clear pictures. It relies almost entirely on pre marked drill locations and trim lines 🙁

    I’d really appreciate any help.

My Fiberfab is not VW based…BUT…late last century when I began to assemble the body I could get nothing to line up. Finally, in frustration, I contacted the factory in Florida. (That’s how long ago it was. The factory was still in existence.) The man I spoke to said that they don’t follow the manual. They begin the body assembly from the rear. I tried that and, surprisingly, everything fell into place when I got to the front. Whether that might work for you I can’t say, but it might be worth a shot. Good Luck.
