If I remember correctly, you are going right past Schu’s house. Lasso him and bring him along. I look forward to seeing you there. It’s only like 7 or so Carlisle runs for ice cream strung together. “Nice and easy does it every time.” Hoiw ’bout you John B? Can’t we talk you into it?

I’ll go for the leather jacket, but will stick with a flat cap and earmuffs for a head covering. If, that is, I can ever GET MY DANG CAR STARTED AGAIN!! 😡

PM-ing with Bill we’re now running down to VA on the West side of the Chesapeake, along (if not on) I-95. Still hoping to attract more TDs to the convoy.

Thanks for all that, my brother. Until I can fathom all this, I will take better care of the engine I have.

OK Bill, Paul. Still trying to work this out. I’ll be solo if I go and this is a 6+ hour run for me. So we’re thinking what? Sat AM early early departure? Like, on the road at 5 a.m. in the dark, meet up circa Wilmington, DE for breakfast at 7 or 8 & run the Eastern Shore down to VA Beach by noon or so?Then overnight at the hotel, toss back a few…[Read more]

EdOkay…fuel delivery; You need to figure out what pressure your injectors require. Once knowing that there are two ways to control pressure, one the injector rail has a pressure regulator on the end that controls how much fuel is sent back to the tank. Two, the pressure sent to the rail is controlled by a regulator on the pump (like mine). If you…[Read more]

That’s the way.I like it a lot down into the 60s, even mid-high 50s, with the right kind of leather bomber jacket and the period-correct, fleece-lined leather aviator helmet (AKA the Snoopy Hat).

Looks like some great ride’n weather up there. Still a bit warm during the day when you have to stop at a light. Had the car in a couple of parades the last two weeks and it does get hot at about 2 MPH.
We had a cool snap last week and it was only in the high 80’s. Told Moma this was the weather the little car was made for, about 50 mph on a back… -

The 68s are much bigger. One guy today said it looked like an MG TD to him, but he had no idea what year that would be.Timeless styling, I guess.

Um, you mean the p-lot guys couldn’t decipher the “52 MG” license plate?

Washed mine.http://bridgetmgtd.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/end-of-season-wash/Ran ‘er over to Wegman’s today. Stuck behind a school bus most of the way. Couple nice guys in the p-lot had a lot of questions when I got there. These days it usually starts with “Is that a ’68?”Maybe should’ve made her # 52

thx Richard-.. I use the pure gas, 93 octane for convenience coz the station is only down the block from my home -while the other station is about 8 miles away that has 87 Octane .

Richard Shear replied to the topic A 4 gallon minimum purchase? in the forum General Discussion 13 years, 6 months ago
using a higher octane gas than is needed , only waste money. If an engine is designed for 87 octane, using 93 octane does not improve the engine’s performance. It will not hurt the engine either. The corn juice is a different story. Corn juice is not good for older motor’s that have a carburator. I don’t see it as being good for any car. It…[Read more]
