Roy I know dub front fender lights also Have what you are looking for.You could always hit your local pick and pull (salvage) and take a walk through and see if it’s worth the effort to remove old dry rotted boots.
Hey just hit me a short piece of heater hose and fill the end with silicone?

Buzz, after further thought, maybe those “grommets” would be better. I would need 4 of them. I might put them on my non-critical to do list. Thanks.

Thanks for going to the effort to try and help. That would, I think, not be much better since the guts of the business ends of the sockets would still be exposed. I expected to see a rubber boot or a small housing that was about the size of the tail light lens except backwards with a hole to feed the wires through and keep the mud, water and wh…[Read more]

I’ll check if the ebrake rubber could be adapted. The current situation is certainly not ideal. I didn’t notice it because the whole inside had been sprayed with undercoating like material. Had a heck of a time getting the bulb out since the terminal end of the bulbs had some undercoating on them. Other than the placement of the “emergency bra…[Read more]

Reading the issue here. Is it possible to use the rubber boot that covers the end og the ebrake cable where it comes out of the VW chassis? I think they only cost about a dollar a piece. Anyway…just a thought.

Paul, that is what I had also. I’m sitting here with the tail light in my hand and it seems that there should be something better to keep the stuff that the rear tire throws up on it, but maybe not. On the VW, this tail light assembly screws into a small void that protects the bulb contacts, but not on the MiGi. Thanks anyway for the re…[Read more]

On my Duchess, the socket protrudes through the fender and I have no protective covering other than electrical tape covering the wire connections. Never had a problem.

Montie those wheels look pretty nice. The price would be hard to beat for those that have an interest in going with wire wheels. Thanks for the information.

It’s amazing how many people ask if these are RR. I had one guy just ask “hey what year is your Rolls”, I think he was trying to impress his girl friend, he had already id’ed it as a RR.

I never had anyone ask if my Duchess was a RR…but early on in her life, a man in a Rolls pulled along side at a stop light, smiled and said, “nice car”.Made MY day!

I eneded up taking the easier route and added wood pieces between the gauge mount brackets and the back side of the dash. All gauigeas are in nice and tight and orientated correctly. The way the brackets were so short makes me think they were not for my Fiberfab kit but from a kit that has that center piece like the original TD had. Now on to the… -

To think that when I first mentioned the “is that a Rolls Royce” question I feared that you all would think that I was just “telling stories”. I guess that I have been validated.
