Ed I saw the TD auctioned   last night ..

I wish I knew for sure if it would fit.  Thats one of the things I would like to change on mine.  I’m not sure I’m up to alot of fiberglass changes to make it fit.

To me the buyer paid about 50 K too much.   At the British days show last year, the average prices on ones for sale were 18 to 24 K.  The show winner even was for sale, an A+ car down to the last lug nut, asking price was 24 K.   He took it back home too.

No Ed it went for that amount,I was watching,I thought it would go for around 50,and it surprized me .Car looked as if it came off the showroom floor.

The TC buyer made the better deal.Still thinking that $71,500 was a typo. Maybe should’ve been $17,500.

It’s a 3 3/8-inch “White Hot” series Classic Instrument tach. Seems to be a standard size for aftermarket instruments and very much the common size for TD Replicas. I was very surprisd that the TD went for so much ..I think it helped in that barrett jackson  advertised it for several days before the auction. A TC went the day before  for only @$18,000….. jebarry2012-04-07 04:40:32

The tach in my red one with the Chevy engine (Mr August, 2012) is not working.  If I have to replace it, what size is this one, Ed?

That black one on eBay got my attention.  There’s a Honda S2000 in the background of the main photo.  Two of my favorite cars.

Ed, MG’s stock 1250cc engine is (most would agree) a small block.  6800cc +/- is not. 

That’s 4-5 normal TD’s worth of dollars there.Meanwhile, there’s this nicely appointed small block powered one.

$62,000 spent, I could believe. $71,000 sale price is a stretch. Good for him if it’s true.
