Paul I think If you had the internet back then , I don’t think you would have gotten yours built .You would have been to busy helping every one else out.

I would have done the same thing, and assumed the connection block was a separate part!

If you need more pic’s just ask, glad you had the part . flaring the brake lines are not to hard to do,Just need to practice a little. Also harbor freight has a flaring tool and bender set price is not bad and works pretty decent.

Ed ….yes I like the flat4 and it is way less expensive…I love the retro look and feel of it. I spoke to a parts guy at V W DUB and he said it should bolt right on. I have not had a chance to check out my hub/steering wheel…that’s next thanks for your help…

edward ericson replied to the topic banjo steering wheel wanted in the forum General Discussion 13 years, 6 months ago
John, as I said, I like the Flat 4 a lot. If I were going to try it, I’d buy just the wheel and see if it will bolt to your existing Grant adaptor hub. I believe it will. The $90 part Flat 4 sells as an adaptor is meant to raise the wheel off the dash (like a dished wheel) so it will clear the turn signal switch. Don’t buy it. (Not yet, at least).…[Read more]

I have a friend who has a Fiberfab Gazelle. I copied his assembly manual and after a quick browse the major difference is that the Gazelle extends the front of the chassis. I guess that’s what lets you have a back seat. I’ll look at it again tonight.

Paul
Thank you for the help..I checked the clearance on my London Roadster..I beleive our seats or mine(bench) is a bit higher than some MG TD and replicas.the flat dish grant wheel i have now is @14 inches. which makes the Flat 4 Banjo Steering Wheel (IVORY) 15 1/2″ doable (i think) not too sure how far the hub and adapter extends out o… -
Paul Mossberg replied to the topic banjo steering wheel wanted in the forum General Discussion 13 years, 6 months ago
Fixed the link John.
That is the wheel you see in a lot of Speedsters. Would look pretty close to a TD wheel. My only caution, check your clearances. And I don’t mean the wheel to the dash. I mean the wheel to the driver’s lap!An inch or two diameter increase in the wheel might not sound like much. But it could make things pretty tight in… -

The owner of this picture says it is a Chevette rear, despite those big tires. Looks like rubber lines to the drums, and a three way block at the top of the rear end, with a rubber line going into the top:

Not the question you asked, but your American Collectors premium sounds high.
I have two cars with American Collectors. My Duchess and a 1965 Plymouth. I pay about $200 per year for both! -
