Is any one interested in an embroidered logo shirt? Sheri has two different materials for polo shirts and new or faded demin long sleeve, as well as warm weather tee shirts that she can ebroider.
She does the MG TD in your choice of colors and can add one line of ebroidered text. I had “London Roadster” added to my pale yellow MG TD replica em… -

Just some of my coats/jackets that my wife won’t allow in the house because they have the distinct fragrance of eau d’gasoline or kerosene or carburetor cleaner. Not her favorites.

Calling me out? I’ll see you on the playground after school Ed! And we can have it out there! Or maybe you can mix up those drinks you make at Carlisle!
I can’t beleive we’re debating clothes! What’s happening to us? That said…..I already acknowledged that Hawaiian shirts can be pricey. But like anything else, a smart shopper will be… -

Ed, of course Ringo is right. But I feel your pain. I worked out a solution a few years ago: As your batteries get weak with age, they may not spin your starter like they used to, but you can still have some fun with them. Buy a bunch of standard base 25 watt 12 vdc lights at Boats R Us. Have one battery and one lamp in each room that is 12…[Read more]

In Phoenix, we’re lucky if we get two years, maybe pushing three, out of auto batteries. It’s the heat that kills their life span.

Ringo! So right. But how can we just “throw away” a “perfectly good” four year old battery that might just crank for another 3-4 years? Seems such a waste, and every so much more so for an item that weighs about 50 lbs. The psychological pain is so great I’m feeling it now, even as I type this. You must have the strength of 10 men. Ten . . . really…[Read more]

Yes, Paul, that is the eBay link the embroidery lady, Sheri, who did my shirts. I didn’t get the group rate when I ordered, because I was a party of one. Here’s her question about group discounts:Hello,Yes, I can still offer a group discount. About how many shirts would you be interested in?Sheri

I think most folks try to stretch their battery life way too far. If you’re past 3-4 years on a battery you’re living on borrowed time. True, a charger will help, but with my wife’s DD I don’t dare take a chance with going over 3 years. On my vehicles I might go 4 years but I never wait too long for what I know is inevitable. Better to chan…[Read more]

Callin’ you out, my brother! While a person may be able to “pass” with any reasonably loud, tropically-themed garment, it is clear enough that the real cognoscenti wears only Reyn Spooner. This, I submit, is why only Reyn Spooner objects, and not the kinds of shirts you or I might pick up at the Salvation Army Store, are hawked and coveted–not…[Read more]

Say, Mark, you might be onto something. My wife hand-painted my car on a tie a couple years back, but I don’t think that’s likely to scale.Given that the Speedster guys’ uniform is a particular brand of (spendy, imho) Hawaiian shirt, it might do for the forces of good taste (i.e., us), which appear to be increasing, to take on a sort of…[Read more]
