Greg I am assuming you have a VW based.If the front end has been modified to a coil/over susspention set up should not matter.Where the tow bar attaches to the main front beam/tubes will remain the same.
Typically the tow bar attaches inward of the shock towers,so a coil/over should not matter.

The Diagonal Arm is the arm which supports the shock absorber in the rear and is apart of the rear suspension on a driveaxle model.

Im not sure what “diagonal arm” means. Can you be a little more specific? Front shock support? Rear?

I read somewhere that this towbar will not work if your shocks are inside your springs mine are .Is this so .Maybe one of you could send me a picture.Just trying to be sure.After looking at pictures the area i attach tow bar is square greg press40934.5218865741

By the way, that is a terrific photograph!
A tip to make it even better…from a friend who is a pro photographer (actually a US Navy combat photographer)
Bring in more background, put the car in the lower third to half of the photo, maybe off center a little.

I’m one of the ear plug wearing drivers….but remember the context of that discussion…
On long distance, highway drives, the combination of the wind noise and the constant 3000 rpm drone of the flat four can be quite tiring. Especially if the roof is up. Trust me, the ear plugs make it much more relaxing.

The tires they installed had an overall height of 27.3 inches, VW factory tires are approxamatley 24.4. They looked good, but when a tight turn was made ir ate the body. No More Pep Boys For Me

Thanks for the response Ed. Cold compression test? Ok, I’ll bite how do you know? I have always wondered how you are supposed to take a compression test on a warmed engine yet remove the spark plugs only on a cold one. ??

compression test? Even cold compression might tell you something important. Ask me how I know. You have a set of new heads and don’t want to play for big HP, so why not keep your sp heads, keep your existing motor, and if you absolutely need a spare, do a nice slow rebuild to 1600 sp specs from whatever case is least knackered?
