One of my daughter’s band instructors gave me a great idea….a heated motorcycle suit. Gerry rides almost all year. The suit plugs into a 12 volt cigarette lighter socket.

Montie, I’m with Ray10. Looks great and definitely one of a kind. Best of all, you made it yourself from something that was already special to begin with. There are somethings that money can’t buy.

There’s still a few good days here in Ohio too. For me in the winter any sunny dry day is fair game. Just need a heavier coat.

I don’t know where you are, Tom, but have you considered renting a storage unit? Here in Houston there are even some made and marketed especially for collector cars. I’m fortunate to have garage space, but will confess to taking a slow drive through one of the nearby car storage layouts on a Saturday morning just to eyeball the various rides.

Amen to that, Tom! This past week has been some of the best top-down smiling weather we’ve had in ages, and it looks like plenty more in store. Even so, I keep my Lafer garaged year-round, with no pets or critters allowed as overnight guests.

Great to have you, Roy! Just stick your arm out and merge into the slow lane with the rest of us (or at least, those with VW powerplants). Here’s hoping you get some decent cruising weather in North Carolina before winter shuts you down.

One of the few times I’m glad I live in the deep south. Really feel for you guys up north that have to store your vehicles for the winter.

Ed, Will do. What is the deadline for photos? You might want to consider a page with a collage of license plates since some of them are quite interesting. Roy

I use dryer sheets. The kind you put in with your clothes in a dryer. The smell keeps them out. Or you could try mothballs, they say that works well also.
