Whoa! Speedway had the bed with an MG logo? Way cool! That does look good.

I’ve been using the Goose as my daily driver to work and found I need more cargo space for tools and gack. I had seen a photo of Moss Motor’s delivery rig and decided to emulate them…
So I’m in the process of making an MG TD pickup.
I got the bed from Speedway Motors, fiberglass. It’s almost a slide-in fit. The filler neck (also on…[Read more]

Yes. Alpha Romero sport rear end is almost a bolt-in. See my post in “Chevy 2.2L Dutchess” Page 6 for my install.
I’m still having issues posting pictures otherwise I’d put some here. But page 6 has pix.

The short tilt wheel release lever found on older car columns fits as a turn signal lever. No modification required.

billnparts replied to the topic Ford 14 x 7 wheel width clearance in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 6 years, 3 months ago
I do not know the actual backspacing measurements but I run 15 x 7 Mustang police steelies with no issue. My 14 x6 Cragar Truspokes stick out just to the fender edge like the 15’s do. My 14 x 5-1/2 Fairmont steelies ride so far inboard I require wheel spacers to keep them off the suspension parts. Your results may vary as I also have drop s…[Read more]

I’d start by inspecting the undercarriage and the front suspension. Check to make sure the beam (assuming this is a VW-based kit) is properly bolted to the chassis. THEN LOOK AT WHAT IT’S BOLTED TO. The frame head is a common place for rust. If it’s real bad the car could start to list and there nothing more dangerous.
If all the metal’s there…[Read more]

Does anyone know if 14 x 7 wheels have any clearance issues on the Ford CMC kit. The kit calls for 14 X 6 with 3.5 backspace.

Don,
I installed the shorter adapter on mine and it really helped. On a side note I cut the turn signal lever off shorter and made a new knob for the end. The wood wheel is a smaller diameter than the stock wheel was and with the wheel closer I kept banging my knuckles on the level when turning. Works great now and look better too.
Thanks again,
Burnie

I don’t think that going to air shocks is the correct way to fix this problem. You would be able to level the car but would adversely affect handling.
I would predict that there is one or more torsion leaves in the front suspension beams that have either come loose from their grub screws or they have broken. The torsion leaves are available a…[Read more]

As a new member I’m looking for any available info on Classic Roadster Duchesses.
Especially manuals [ original or copies ] and sales material. I have a Duchess that
was built by the factory in early ’81. Mine has a Rabbit engine but I have not identified
the transmission or the rear axle yet. I am happy to pay for material including copy…[Read more] -

You are going to have to provide some additional info. Is the car a VW pan or Chev/Ford chassis? Can you post pics? What is the difference between the left and right, measuring on a level surface, measure from floor to common chassis points on left side and right side. Pushing down on the tub on the right side then the left is there a…[Read more] -
