hello Dan nice to see you still have your car. you might be able to have that 1 repaired or have the face & needle moved to another brand gauge, I’ll give you a vdo tach if the latter is an option

Update on the hotel reservations for Carlisle. Some of the Speedster guys had trouble registering when they called the above number and were handed off to national reservations. Here’s what to do, via Alan Merklin who arranged the accommodations:
New phone number for hotel reservations 717 300 7026 Between 8am & 4pm you are making your re…[Read more]

Tim,
The full assembly manual for a rear engine Duchess is in our library. Free Download! I’ve not seen a manual for Classic Roadsters Ltd front engine cars.
I agree with Bill. Would love to see pictures!

Hi Guys:
I accidently “blew” my tach when I was putting back the dashboard. It is now stuck in the “fully on” position.
I don’t think that they make the vintage brand anymore but I’m looking for one with a beige face.
Thx

OK, I’ve searched the Speedway site and could not find an MG truck box. ‘23 T bucket, yes, but those are plain back panels. Can you please supply more info. That box would be ideal to finish the back end when the race cage is installed.

Always loved that old Moss TD’amino and thought it’d be great to replicate. Looks like a short T-bucket bed fits perfectly. Alas, not with a rear-engined kit, though.
Wait…does that tub really have an MG logo molded in?

Whoa! Speedway had the bed with an MG logo? Way cool! That does look good.

I’ve been using the Goose as my daily driver to work and found I need more cargo space for tools and gack. I had seen a photo of Moss Motor’s delivery rig and decided to emulate them…
So I’m in the process of making an MG TD pickup.
I got the bed from Speedway Motors, fiberglass. It’s almost a slide-in fit. The filler neck (also on…[Read more]

Yes. Alpha Romero sport rear end is almost a bolt-in. See my post in “Chevy 2.2L Dutchess” Page 6 for my install.
I’m still having issues posting pictures otherwise I’d put some here. But page 6 has pix.

The short tilt wheel release lever found on older car columns fits as a turn signal lever. No modification required.

I do not know the actual backspacing measurements but I run 15 x 7 Mustang police steelies with no issue. My 14 x6 Cragar Truspokes stick out just to the fender edge like the 15’s do. My 14 x 5-1/2 Fairmont steelies ride so far inboard I require wheel spacers to keep them off the suspension parts. Your results may vary as I also have drop s…[Read more]

I’d start by inspecting the undercarriage and the front suspension. Check to make sure the beam (assuming this is a VW-based kit) is properly bolted to the chassis. THEN LOOK AT WHAT IT’S BOLTED TO. The frame head is a common place for rust. If it’s real bad the car could start to list and there nothing more dangerous.
If all the metal’s there…[Read more]
