debrock, You’ve got a very special piece of history. I knew it was rare and special when you first posted the pictures ,but it’s even more special than I could have imagined. Looking forward to seeing it when you get it all done.

I.D. solved! This car was built by a group of Shriners, 20 in all who decided to build their own parade cars. One of them was knowlegable about mold making. The others had various other skills. The person that I contacted did most of the welding. Over a 5-6 year history there were 10 cars completed, about 1/2 were VW based and the others were…[Read more]

Did adding the adapters push the wheel rim further outboard? If so, can that be compensated for with the rim setback? -
newkitman replied to the topic e brake handle in the forum VW Based Kits 14 years, 2 months ago
Calafer,Did you do the e-brake handle mod yourself? Was it difficult moding the ratchet portion of the ebrake handle? The two cable brackets seem easy enough to handle?

Think this is the 3rd time I made the paper. I think Greg regrets selling hsi TD but he isn’t the type to admit a mistake.
I believe currently there are 3 TD replicas in The Villages. My red, Greg’s old maroon and a tan.
Got to admit I really miss the Rain, Snow, and Freezing Cold, it get’s boring with the warth and constant sun. -
James Cochran replied to the topic MGTD in the News in the forum General Discussion 14 years, 2 months ago
I bet he didn’t get his photo taken for the paper. Greg should have stuck with the TD.Is this your second time as a headliner, or third? Do you know how many TD’s are in the Villages? I have seen some ebay ads in the past for TD replicas in the Villages.Too bad you missed all the bad New York weather this year.
