The badge is a TD Replica club grill badge. Go to the Photo Gallery, BillCollins folder to see pictures of the badges.Bill ordered them a few years ago on his own dime. It took three years to sell out the first batch. He is taking orders. But this time, he wants enough pre-orders (about 20) before he has them made. And yes yes yes, come to Carlisle!

The badges ran out around August 2009. It took several years to sell out and recover the expense. Bill Collins can reorder, but needs at least 20 or more firm orders and deposits. Check the posting under ‘General Discussion’. You may want to private message Bill, he may have a running list.

I’m thinking of going, but never heard of the show before I got on this forum 2 weeks ago. Looks like a 100 mile drive. What’s this about a waiting list for “badges?” I need stinkin’ badges?

I have heard great things and seen some great photos of the event. I am not for sure, but I think there is a waiting list on the TD Replica badges.
Whatever you feel like donating toward keeping the site running is greatly appreciated. I think the typical is 20 to 30 bucks, but whatever you would like to do is great. Frankie has been footing the…[Read more] -
Paul Mossberg replied to the topic HARDTOP ANYONE? in the forum General Discussion 15 years, 9 months ago
I emailed back-and-forth with the lister.
He confirmed it IS a hard-top.
These are VERY rare.
If you email Joe (the lister) he can provide home and cell phone numbers for the owner of the hard top.
I suggested he or the owner get an id here and post the top, pictures and measurements here in our classifieds. -

With my handicap I did not seem to need that five iron anyway! BTW, I attached an old hazard flasher can with the insides removed to the inside of the hood, using one of the screws that hold the latch in place. I painted it black to hide it; placing the rod inside the cup assures that it will not be knocked out by my avid… maybe rabid? fans when…[Read more]

Probably just an old soft top and not a hardtop. I cut up my old top recently to use as a template to make a new one. I like the open air driving so much better. Not sure how much use my new top will get.

I just want to bring this topic back up into the active topics list. I think everyone would benefit from the video that Lauren and Nicole have put together. With weather turning on us as the season changes, and more holiday travel in that weather, this video has an excellent message and reminder to everyone.…[Read more]

I have been searching for the builder of my car. I have a few choice words for them……and they are not good ones
. I practice saying those words each time I discover some of the things they did behind the scenes. Everything does work though…..by a miracle.

David, I agree with everyone, Fiberfab. I feel I am looking at my Fiberfab. Same headlight mounts, minor body differences. Like Larry said, your fenders are slightly narrower, yet they are out slightly further from the engine enclosure than mine. Beautiful automobile.

The builder of my car was me. And even scarier, I was only 25. Of course by that age, “I knew it all”…and despite that the car came out fine!

Luckily the builder of my car was an electrical engineer. His work looks very professional…knock on fiberglass…one less thing to worry about.

I hope it works out!PS: I like your signature. I remember the feeling the first time I turned the electricity on in my Duchess. Only one mis-wired taillight, and that was because of a change Classic Roadsters made between when they drew eh schematics and package the kit parts! And then when I cranked it over for the first time! Yes, I felt like…[Read more]

David, It looks like a FiberFab to me . What causes me to question myself is all the FiberFab front engine kits I have seen are designed with wider fenders than the ones on your car. It may be the only right hand drive MGTD replica I have seen as well. Whatever it is ,it is a great looking car and I’m sure it is a very rare item in that part o…[Read more]

They are just 3/4 or maybe 1″ steel tubes bent to a “z” shape to match the engine cover. There are plugs in the ends like the plugs in the endof bike handlebars. The hinges are riveted through the splash pan into the steel sub-frame that surrounds the engine compartment.Under the engine cover there is a steel plate shaped sort of like…[Read more]
