Good one Paul. That’s probably the reason I could not find a clock in any of the old TD pictures or archives. Had to look at the Saloon cars to find a clock.

John,
Is it for the ignition key in the GM column or the dash? What’s the Painless part number? Hope it’s #10101.
I’ll be needing one of these for my 1940 Ford Streetrod.Pink MG40073.3684259259 -

It’s timeless when we are behind the wheel of our TD’s.
Either that or time flies!

Hey…a TD Replica NOT going to North Carolina??? What’s up with that?
I wonder if he is related to Yugo…or Wego?
Congrats Bill…he’s getting a gem. Paul is right…no TD Replica, No Sale! -

Did that beauty shop also have any taxidermy ?
Victoria British is the same people as LMC Truck, it’s Long Motor Corporation in Lenexa, KS. They keep my (Tyler’s) ’89 GMC Suburban alive. -

Congratulations Bill.
The “Memberlist” takes care of all forum members.
The registry is intended to be a listing of our TDs. So yes, I will remove you and Angelia from that list.

JamesI think Classic Instruments had a voltage gauge with the right bezel but the pointer, (easily changed) and the face were not quite right. I think I’ve seen some older gauges that said dynamo rather than volts, that would be pretty cool! Ringo

JamesYeah, that’s a map light. It came on the original dash and cleaned up good enough to re-use. I have seen similar lights on some antique boats, might check some suppliers for marine stuff. The problem of the glare was one that concerned me when it came time to put a finish on my dash. I started to go with gloss, then read about the oil f…[Read more]

Ringo,
I like your map light in the center. That is a map light? Hard to tell from the angle. I need to place one on my dash, very nice.
Was there a particular paste wax you used?
I tested the machine turned metal piece, and the angle on my TD dash was not vertical enough. It reflected the sky much more than in my other car which is vertical,…[Read more]

Paul,
I am going to print one out for an 8″ wall clock in the garage. Ringo, you gave me idea about my gauges. I don’t have a volt meter either, because I could not find one with the right face. If I can find one with the right bezel, I’ll make a face for it to match. I think that is the only gauge I am missing, now to find a place on the dash. -

Glad the beauty shop had some REAL catalogs. They might have thought it was Victoria’s Secret when stocking the magazines. Although that’s not a bad catalog to browse either. - Load More
