I just looked at it. I was wrong, it was in the replica section. The radiator part shown is totally wrong.

File the wood spokes down and drive very, very carefully!
I know of nothing “out of the box”.Maybe if you find wheels, you can have the drums redrilled and tapped for the new bolt pattern? If you are looking for spin on hubs and wheels, then I’m really at a loss.

Hey, there’s an idea! Maybe you’ll run into an un-built kit selling for $1,000 or less. Buy it, use the grill and have a ton of spare parts! And I’m only half-kidding.

Pink MG,
Thanks for these two web sites (fordpinto.com) I have been looking on the internet for two weeks trying to find a set of valve covers for a 2.8L. And with your lead I think I found a set in Florida. Just hope they are still available.

MAN, I’m going to put a lock on my shell.
I’ll be on the look out. There was an entire kit on ebay, saw it last night, but I don’t remember seeing a shell tho. It was located under the MG TD section, and not the replica section.
If I stumble on one, I’ll let you know.

To set the timing was a piece of cake on my 2.3L, did the alignment marks including the drive to the distributor and setting the rotor to the #1. Release the tensioner easily, verify the alignments, turn over the engine, verify the alignments again. Put it all together and pray.
I hit mine perfect the first time. She roared to life and purred…[Read more] -

Welcome to the forum.
We’ll assume it’s a 2.3L four cylinder, and not a 2.8 V6. It sounds like you don’t have the OEM carb and/or intake on the motor if it’s a 2.3L
The OEM set up is a simple bracket that anchors the OEM Pinto/Mustang II cable. I’m sure you can find the whole set up, from pedal to carb, in a junkyard somewhere. Try some of the…[Read more] -

James;Finishing up some other projects around the house before I get started tearing it down. I’ve got her on some dollies so I can move her around until I can get serious. I’m thinking I’ll get started next week. I’m 99% sure it’s the belt dropping a few teeth or something along that line, so I’m committed to changing out everything, from the…[Read more]

mjilson sounds like the carb linkage is wrong or the placement of the cable should be further away from the fulcrum on the linkage. good luck Dan

Hi Bill,
Verytough to find. As far as we know, no one is reproducing TD grills at the moment. Even Moss Motors does not have them.
fareoh had one for sale earlier this year. I don’t know if he sold it, but it would be worth reaching out to him at fareoh@gmail.com His original post is at:

How goes it? Have you been able to work on her lately to find the problem?

Mine is the Ford setup, but it is a bit tricky. You press the pedal that pulls on a cable that pulls on a horizontal arm that is connected to a vertical shaft mounted next to the carb, the vertical shaft rotates and swings a lever connected to linkage on the butterflies on the carb. Various springs on that arm return it back to idle most of the…[Read more]

Rich Bellefeuille replied to the topic Rich?s Tip for Gel Coat in the forum TD Replicas 15 years, 10 months ago
Dan,
I haven’t gone the route of wet sanding yet, but I have tried some very aggressive compound with an orbital buffer with so-so results.
My limited understanding of the Gel Coat problem is that what we seeing as gray/white haze is actually porosity (holes) in the finish. So the choices (other than Paint) are to either remove the pores (your…[Read more] -
